Healing happens when all the pieces come together.
We believe that true wellness isn’t found in a single appointment or a isolated symptom. It lives in the dialogue between the mind and the body, the nervous system and the physical self. By integrating the energetic wisdom of acupuncture with the relational depth of psychotherapy, we provide a unified space for transformation.
Our collaboration is rooted in the idea that health is a partnership—not just between our practices, but between you and your own capacity for restorative healing. Together, we help you navigate the complexities of modern life through a lens that honors your whole being.

The beauty of acupuncture is that it takes whole health into account when treating any condition; everyone’s well-being is viewed from a whole-person approach. Vanessa is an experienced practitioner who understands the nuances of how the body affects the mind and the mind affects the body. Her approach to every patient focuses not only on obvious physical symptoms, but takes into account how every aspect of life influences well-being. Vanessa is experienced in treating a myriad of physical conditions, including migraines, digestive issues, fertility, and chronic pain. She is also trauma-informed and has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression and trauma. She believes deeply in patient education and helping people take control of their health outcomes. She’s always happy to answer any questions about acupuncture, energy work, mindfulness, and how these modalities can help you achieve a more balanced life.
Healing isn't a destination-it's a homecoming. At Embodied Connections, I help you hone the skills to listen internally and integrate what your body knows with how your mind thinks. I believe therapy is most effective as a collaborative, human-to-human experience, and that you already possess the innate wisdom needed to heal — my role is to help you clear the path to it. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW, licensed in WV and PA) providing holistic, trauma-informed care, drawing on Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and somatic awareness. I practice inidividual and couples therapy and have years of experience providing therapy to a wide variety of clientele.Â
Align your mind. Restore your body.
The Mind-Body Collab was founded with the understanding that healing rarely happens exclusively in the mind or exclusively in the body. The Mind-Body Collab bridges the gap between mental health counseling and holistic body-centered wellness, giving clients a unified space to regulate, process, and restore.
You can work with either practice on its own, or weave both into your routine. Each of us runs an independent practice — this is where our work meets.
